Treehouse Design, a design/build firm based in Rockport, realized the couple’s vision for a contemporary home tempered by the shingled vernacular of New England. Newly built on the challenging, sloping lot, it boasts 2,200 square feet of living space. Prioritizing energy efficiency and sustainability, Treehouse called on passive home specialist Bensonwood in Walpole, New Hampshire, for prefabrication.

Glenn and Faith Parker built their dream home overlooking Ipswich Bay in Gloucester, MA. With the help of ReVision Energy and Treehouse Design, they designed their house to be a beautiful, highly-efficient and solar-powered home.

This past summer, Biobus, a solar-powered, mobile science lab based in New York City, came up to Rockport for a complete makeover. Treehouse designers, carpenters, cabinet makers, and project managers took on this unusual task with an abundance of enthusiasm and creativity. 

The old power house of the Pigeon Hill Granite Co. is one of our most recent renovation projects. This solid granite building was transformed from an industrial building into a residential home in the early 1940’s, when a timber frame was constructed within its thick granite walls.
